Charge the mind!

Teacher is in town!! Intensive this Sunday for 10-day. Not as pack as last few times but surely he will stretch our mind, thus keep us move.

Really look forwards of his arrival as it's time to charge the mind. About time to freshen up. Top up with positiveness to fight against all the sad news come to me lately. Time to have a short break to go against all the lousy news. Good to restore, sense and plan.

Mantra

"What is here is also there".

In understanding ourselves; we understand others. In forgiving others; we forgive ourselves.

Reaching out with love. They don't mean to be unkind, simply they don't see. Ignorance is the cause of affliction. Hence, people suffer from anger, pain, worry, resentment, attachment ... if we have the wisdom and intelligence, our vision change. Our respond to the environment change. We are able to make the world better, we are able to make the world peaceful and harmony to stay.

Now and tomorrow ...

Lately I read 4 books written by Dr. Brian Weiss, "Same Soul, Many Bodies", "Many Lives, Many Masters", "Only Love is Real", and "Messages from the Masters". They are all easy to read, direct and simple with positive and powerful messages. Messages are direct and simple as these are the qualities within everyone of us. Yet, with the busy-ness of daily life we often caught up in misery, which cover our senses or mislead our senses. We then go against our qualities be a soulless skeleton hanging in the pressure or pleasure.

What is the meaning of life?

Having so many news with regards teen drug abusers, and the young robbery? What's our new generation future? What can we do to change the negative to positive? Why the negative is so powerful to pull the marginal to them but not the positive has the position to do so?! Why our society / the generation / develop to this path? Can we do something?

A new book is on my hand now "Dialogue with Death" by Eknath Easwaran. I hope that I can get some insight and inspiration so I have the power to do a bit more than now.

Sweat

Have you experienced sweating when you do only standing poses but not vinyasa?

Often people debate if yoga a too "serene" form of "exercise" that they sweat not. Some with more understanding of yoga would say "vinyasa" type of practice do sweat but not Iyengar style with holding posture. However, I would say if you really engage the muscles to be in the postures, you heat up then sweat. Well, it's not the same dripping in the hot yoga room nor the no ventilation environment. Yet you "switch" on the "tapas" within oneself to purify the impurity, to clean the body inside out.

Indeed yoga is merely physically. When the limbs are aligned, the nerves are also aligned. Then the internal systems are aligned. So to go on, one's life is aligned. Yoga offers us platform to practice, and practice. Practice is to keep the zealous fire burning.

Be certain. Be bold and be within.

Messages from the Masters, again!

A lesson of VALUE ... it's such a soul mending book that I'd highly recommend to everyone, Messages from the Masters by Dr. Brian Weiss.

With decades of working experience in commercial sector, spiritual value is fading and washed by the social value. Shredded, entered to this new arena. The inner light beaming and the inner voice calling stronger. Yet, uncertainty is always there.

The bulb is turned when I read the following abstract from Dr. Weiss:

"... One particular problem in school we call the earth is that on earth it is so difficult to remember we are souls and not just physical bodies. We are constantly distracted by the illusions and delusions of this three-dimensional planet. We are taught that money, power, prestige, material possessions, and other tangible accumulations and creature comforts are extremely important and sometimes even the purpose of our lives. We are taught that we must be liked or respected by others in order to be happy. Being alone, we are told, is being miserable.

In truth, we are immortal beings who never die and are never energetically separated from those we love. We have eternal soulmates and soul families. We are forever guided and loved by guardian spirits. We are never alone.

We do not take our "things" with us when we die. We take our deeds and actions, the fruits of our hearts' wisdom. When we reawaken to the knowledge that we are all spiritual beings, then our values shift and we can finally become happy and peaceful. What is the difference in this life if you are wealthy and I am not? Only the treasures of spirit can be retained. What is the difference if you are powerful or famous and I am not? Happiness has no roots in power of fame, only in love. What is the difference if you are more liked and respected by others than I am? Perhaps I am daring to tell and to live the truth, and the truth is rarely popular. Happiness comes from within, not from without, not from the reflection of what others think of you. Jealousy is poison to the soul...."

Karin once said, never praise your students and never let the students' appreciation blind you. Praise could be poison. Only clarity could wash the ignorance. Only happiness generate from within are eternal, and real. Love is real.

Messages from the Masters

Abstract from Messages from the Masters .... gosh, this is simple, direct, and true!

"... One of the most important of life's lesson is to learn independence, to understand freedom. This means independence from attachments, from results, from opinions, and from expectations. Breaking attachments leads to freedom, but breaking attachments does not mean abandoning a loving and meaningful relationship, a relationship that nourishes your soul. It means ending dependency on any person or thing. Love is never a dependency. Love is absolute, unconditional, and timeless state that asks for nothing in return..... "

It's never too late to learn the lesson. We all have a different speed in learning. Some faster than the others. Some progress further advance in shorter period. Yet, it doesn't matter as we continuos the journey. We always come back to learn, and elevate. We are eternity and time is non-existence.

Sunshine

Only when we feel fullness, we are content. When we are content, we rely on no one to be our sunshine. We warm our heart we shine our path independently. Sometimes we might feel alone, but let not the loneliness over us. Sunshine are we, we are the sunshine. When we are strong enough, we warm the others too.

Practice yoga helps elevated our awareness, bringing us closer to the consciousness to the big Self. With constant practice, we fill our heart day by day. The heart is being filled to the fullest, we are content. Respect life as it is.

Couples, friends, relationship might grow apart. We also contribute to the outcome. Thing doesn't work out as it is, then acknowledge the pain and move on. It's the process we all have to go through but not to suppress the feeling. Yes, there is grief. Yes, it's painful. Yes, it's sad too. Thus, it's hard in the practical day to day life. Acknowledge all the feelings and emotion. Yoga teaches us not to dwell onto the pain, aversion, anger, hatred... Detach from the negatives, surrender, admit and let go. It will pass. Time will heal.

I have learnt the lesson. Am confident that you can also learn from it, and get over. I am always here. Be strong.
